Minutes of the Committee Meeting held at Haddenham Sports and Social Club on Tuesday 26th January 2010 commencing at 8.00pm
Martyn Livermore (ML), Keith Richardson (KR), Brian Freer (BF), Kevin Gray (KG), Martin Gray (MG), Roger Fensom (RF), and Val Parkes (VP).
Mike Bradshaw (MB), Lesley Rate (LR), David Hughes (DH), and Janet Nicholls (JN).
These were agreed and signed by ML.
MG spoke to Steve Annison (SA) regarding redesign of existing website. There would be an initial cost of £144, which would incorporate all design costs etc. Total costs appear to be in the region of £250-£300 including hosting. Decision to withhold progress due to current lack of finances.
MG to continue liasing with SA and would volunteer to be Webmaster if website redesign was undertaken.
BF contacted ETTA regarding legal glue clarification. Currently no official confirmation of what constitutes a legal glue. Additionally next July, ETTA will propose that all rubbers will have to be ITTF approved. Update expected in following meetings.
Cambridgeshire County Schools Table Tennis Association Individual Championships are to be held on Saturday 13th February 2010 at Jack Hunt School, Peterborough. KG to send note to DH, Carl Woolfe (CW) and Matt Knott (MK) regarding event.
Current A/C stands at £4.99 and Deposit A/C at £631.00
Costs to the end of the season expected to exceed existing funds. Costs include vets, over 60’s and junior county games as well as trophy costs for the upcoming Cambs tournament.
Deficit appears to be due to purchase of excessive number of county shirts. These shirts should be sold on ASAP to recoup funds.
1st team played in Div 1A and struggled to field full compliment of women players. However, JN filled in at last minute, but still team relegated from strong division.
After Cambs tournament the number of senior sides to be entered next season will be addressed.
MG to investigate registration of Shaun Hall from Cambridge University.

Appears to be lack of junior girl. KG to contact MK and CW who should then communicate with Lesley Rate (LR) with regard to suitable players.

League progressing well with all games up to date.
Championship to be held at Marshland school, with seniors on 28th February, and juniors to play the following day. This is a change from previous competitions, to try and encourage more juniors and enable easier ranking of them.
Questions regarding insurance to be e-mailed prior to next meeting.
Query regarding ranking has now been answered by ML.
St Neots
No report received.
Individual membership will be required for all players for season 2010 – 2011. Cambridge League is currently the only affiliated league to have submitted relevant information. All leagues must submit information prior to next season.
Individual registration fees have been agreed. £5.64 for seniors and £2.82 for juniors.
Currently Peterborough and Wisbech have no Representative Members, and therefore do not have any official voice regarding ETTA regulations etc. As no representation from either league at this meeting, Cambs committee suggests that each league contacts the general secretary of the ETTA for the official literature.

All members (including all ranked players) should be urged to attend, but special encouragement should be taken to urge all juniors and cadets from the region to participate. ML to submit letter to urge all ranked players to attend, highlighting that the competition is the main revenue for county funds.
KG to scan county badge and prototype design of certificate in attempt to reduce costs of championship trophies. KG to contact ML regarding progress <Mid Feb 2010.
Ensure return of all peripheral trophies prior to event.
