Cambridgeshire Schools Tournament 24 February 2008

This individual tournament for under 11's, under 13's, under 16's and under 19's takes place at the St Neots Table Tennis Club from 12.30pm onwards. Entrants will be told their expected attendance time before the day. We would like to have as many young players as posible. Please email Steve (steverate@yahoo.co.uk) or telephone him (07963758932) to get an entry form if you cannot pick up one from your club.

Junior Regional Trials 1-2 December 2007

To all Secretaries, Coaches and Junior players

The County Association would like nominations for juniors to be put forward to play in the regional trials at Harlow on the weekend of Dec 1st/2nd. All County junior players should seriously consider entering these trials as they are part of their development.

U15's boys and girls and the U13's boys will take place on Saturday 1st December and the U13's girls and the U11's boys and girls will take place on Sunday 2nd December.

County Junior Championship Round 1

The first round of the County Junior Championship matches took place on the Saturday 20th October 2007 at BATTS Harlow. Everybody had a good time and there were some exciting matches, with results that could have gone for the county instead of against us.

Cambs Junior Summer League report

Steve Rate reports: the final round of matches took place on July 14th and we have had some exciting matches throughout the summer tournament. All the juniors that took part absolutely enjoyed themselves playing table tennis competitively. The tournament took place at the excellent venue of St Neots and attracted teams from all over the Cambs area. There were two divisions, Premier and Championship. The Premier Division was won by the St Neots Superstars, Nick Rate (100%). Ian Gregory, Daniel Fielding and Nathan Donnachie, with the St Ives Dream Team runners-up. Other teams were St Neots Spin Kings and March Musketeers. The Championship was won by Wisbech Wanderers, Grant Brightey (100%), Nick Pack and Matthew Pack. Academy Avengers were runners up, and other teams taking were St Ives Acres, St Ives Hotpoints and St Neots Drivers.
