St Neots TTC in the Bribar Veterans British League

Keith Richardson reports:

The first rounds of the Bribar Veterans British League took place in Hereford on the weekend of 7/8 November with the Cambridgeshire represented side St Neots standing proudly at the top of the Mens Premier Division, unbeaten. The team consists of Mick Harper and Keith Richardson of Cambridgeshire, Stuart Palmer (Suffolk), Chris Rogers (Leicestershire) and Andy Trott (Northamptonshire). This was a superb performance which they have been striving for during several years after starting life with virtually the same team a long time back in 2003/4 in Division 6.

Five successive previous championships and a year to find their feet in the Premier Division make this probably the greatest achievement ever in the Veterans British League history and on this display who is going to stop them taking a sixth championship. They have a huge 4 point gap over Potters Leisure Resort and Kidlington Stars who hold equal second place on 6 points. Chris Rogers finished top of the averages winning 9 out of 10 games, Andy won 5 from 6, Stuart 8 from 6, and Keith 4 from 6. Mick did not play due to an ongoing injury, but attended to give his 'unique' support!
