Minutes of the Annual General Meeting held at Haddenham Sports & Social Club on 5th June 2007, commencing at 8.00pm


Present

Apologies -Mick Harper, No apologies received from the Peterborough league


The minutes of the previous meeting were signed as true record by Martyn Livermore.


There were no matters arising from those minutes.


Chairman's Report

Martyn Livermore welcomed everyone to the meeting and thanked all elected members and league representatives for attending the meetings throughout the season. He was disappointed that the Peterborough League sent no reps to any of the meetings. Hopefully they will attend this coming year.

The county tournament (March 07) was well attended and the venue, Neale Wade at March was good and now seems the tournaments rightful home for the future.Martyn would also like to thank all the match secretaries Martyn (seniors), Roger Fensom(veterans), Lesley Rate (juniors),and Steve Rate (secretary), Brian Freer(treasurer) for all their hard work.

Martyn said he was looking forward to the new season and hopefully a successful one.


Match Secretary's Reports

Senior (Martyn Livermore)

Dissapointed at being bottom of division 2c. Players Dave Atkinson, Keith Richardson, and Denise Jacobi were all unavailable.

Veteran (Roger Fensom)

Two teams for the county championships this year .

Cambs 1 played in Division 3B and finished 6 out of 8 . Played 7 won 1 drew 3 lost 3

Cambs 2 played in Division 4B and finished 2 out of 6, Played 5 won 4 drew 0 lost 1

Juniors (Lesley Rate)

Two weekends at Harlow. No wins. Last in Division 2C.

No one available for the first weekend and for the second weekend only one girl available. Thanks to Patrick Mohan, Mark Dawkins, Christian Mohan, Jack Luscombe, Amy Catlin.

Very difficult to get a team together mainly due to parents commitments and for next year must make a more professional approach.


Treasurer's Report & statement of accounts. (Brian Freer)

Brian presented the treasurers report and was accepted as a true report. The summary and balance sheet are attached to the minutes.


Umpire's Secretary's Report (Brian Freer)

BF expressed a concern over the lack of qualified umpires in our area and is preparing a big push in 07/08 for adult and junior umpires


Press Officer's Report(Martyn Livermore)

Local press reports have been in the CN. The county website is up and running well. Steve Rate reports that no reports of anything positive happening in the county is coming through to him for publication in the Table Tennis News

Brian Freer was duly elected and Val parkes was asked if she would continue as deputy and VP agreed


Election of Auditor

Trevor Smith was re-elected.


Determination of Affiliation Fees

The affiliation fees would have to go up to £11-00 per team. This was discussed and this was voted on and carried by a majority
